China Miéville’s top 10 of weird fiction. I’ve never heard of #1, “The Course of the Heart,” by M. John Harrison. I’m a huge fan of “The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch,” by Philip K. Dick though.

I had never heard of “The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch” until reading this article earlier today. Coincidentally, it was just a couple of hours later I saw this story in today’s New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/06/books/06mcgr.html?_r=1&ref=arts&oref=slogin

Four of Dick’s novels are being reissued by the Library of America. “The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch” is one of them, along with “The Man in the High Castle,” “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” and “Ubik.”
