In a few short minutes, I’m going to sit down, pull out a fresh copy of “Infinite Jest,” and start reading. If you are Seattle-based and taking part in Infinite Summer, feel free to join me and a small cadre of readers who will meet every couple of weeks in lower Queen Anne and Fremont for what I’m sure will be some lovely textual explorations. We’ve got a small mailing list via a Google Group and will be having our first meeting in Fremont this Wednesday evening at Dad Watson’s. We’ll be the geeky table with thousands of pages of behemoth and at least one Kindle between us. We’d love to have you.

hi folks, i’ve been reading IJ for the first time after hearing about it off and on for years, as part of I. Summer. its july 29th, 103 degrees, and all i can think about is IJ characters and the ZANY trip its been so far. one thing is missing for me now though- meeting up with other seattle readers. i’m desperate! i live in Fremont and would love to meet up with IJ’s over beer and TP any night of the week. please give me a heads up!
